Lilou

Problem

Before we started cooperation, the Lilou brand already had a ready-made online store on the Magento platform. With the passage of time and the desire to improve individual functionalities, the help of professionals in the operation of the popular open-source software on which online store works turned out to be indispensable.

Action

We had to focus on the following goals:

  • professional support for the online store at the frontend and backend level,
  • validating errors in the e-shop structure and introducing corrections,
  • implementing new functionalities,
  • and efficient contact with a team of specialists who will ensure the proper functioning of e-commerce.

Selected activities for the Lilou brand

Easier shopping – adjusting the store to RWD

Nowadays, adjusting the online store to the RWD standards (meaning to any screen resolution) is an e-commerce must-have. Potential customers want to be able to place an order regardless of the location and device they are using. And this is the case at www.lilou.pl and all other language versions of the store – regardless of the screen resolution, the page loads correctly, without causing any clipping or overlapping of various graphic elements.

Redesign – a more intuitive online store

The well-thought-out appearance of the online store means more convenient shopping. Following the Responsive Web Design technique, we have prepared several improvements that significantly influenced the reception of the online store.

What have we changed?

  • a new header that is the header of the page,
  • we proposed a new menu design to make it more legible,
  • we have developed a product listing,
  • we have modified the footer display options to make it easier for the user to find the most necessary information.

thanks to all these activities, we also improved the visual appearance of the store, which is characterised by intuitiveness, simplicity, and minimalism.

Improving the mobile version of the online store on Magento

We have been hearing about the fact that e-commerce is increasingly shifting from desktop to mobile. Therefore, in line with the current trends, our task was to introduce improvements to the mobile version of the Lilou online shop to make it quick, easy, and fun. Product review, adding to the basket, logging in or filling in individual form fields, and making payments – all this is within the reach of smartphone users.

Outlet – new section with filter options

As part of cooperation with Lilou, we expanded the website with a new subpage – outlet. The new tab includes an option to filter the results, which makes it easier for the brand customer to find the product they are interested in.

Results

The solutions presented above are only some of the improvements from the frontend level that we have implemented for the Lilou online store, based on the Magento platform. Many changes related to the backend area, which are not visible to people visiting the store, but have a significant impact on the overall functioning of e-commerce.

The effect of our actions in cooperation with the Lilou brand was:

  • an increase in the number of orders placed via mobile devices,
  • reducing the number of abandoned carts,
  • organizing the image of the Lilou brand website,
  • refining intuitive sales channels by introducing the RWD technique.
