Problem / goal

Prior to the start of our cooperation, Miloo already had an online store based on the Magento 2 platform. The issues were mostly driven by the core changes implemented in their version of Magento. This caused the store to be unmodifiable and unscalable, and also generated numerous errors. It was, therefore, necessary to implement a new, functional online store that meets all the industry standards, keeping the consistency with the brand’s visual identity.

As part of our cooperation with the Miloo Home brand, we created a modern and functional online store. We began our work with a thorough analysis of the client’s current situation and needs. Then we designed several new interesting solutions, that upon implementation made the store attractive, friendly, pleasant and intuitive for shopping.

The changes we made

Store migration without loosing a single link

We created a solution to disable URL keys for categories. This preserved identical URLs to those that functioned on the old version of the site. The client was able to build the menu in a new way, without losing linking and retaining the full structure of products and categories.

Inspirational lookbooks to engage shopping

One of the most interesting ideas – that improves the attractiveness of the e-store, was the introduction of an inspiration section and a lookbook module, which takes us on a journey through the world of design. Interior arrangements combined with unique furniture collections allow us to design every corner of the house, as well as its surroundings. Purchase is possible directly from the lookbook, without the need to enter the card of the selected, specific product – although we also provide such a possibility. And as a result – the user is not forced to search the store to find the product he is interested in or information about it.

Attractiveness of the e-shop

The client was given a number of options for managing the product categories, so that the category is not just a dry page with a list of products, but also acts as a showcase page. This also makes the individual sub-pages way more attractive, clear and aesthetically pleasing. Navigating through them is pure pleasure, often finalized by a purchase.

In order to meet customer demands, it is important to implement new solutions. What else have we implemented?

  • Installment purchase option

    We have added a distinctive PayU installment option as part of the available payment methods, so that the consumer already on the shopping cart page has the option to choose an installment payment. Previously, he or she had to decide on the PayU payment selection page.

  • Personal pickup

    We’ve added the ability to pick up a shipment at a dealership with an automatic check to see if products are available at that dealership.

  • Delivery modules

    We have implemented delivery modules that allow complex management, modification and restriction of deliveries depending on the size or weight of the ordered goods.

  • Stock integration

    We integrated the inventory with an external warehouse management system.

New enhanced menus

We have introduced a new menu system, which allows you to manage categories and how they’re displayed. For example, adding graphic blocks, which undoubtedly improves the aesthetic value as well, as it affects the attractiveness of the menu itself. The expanded menu makes navigation simpler and, most importantly, shortens the consumer’s shopping process. In addition, on the category page, we have introduced the ability to navigate through the category tree, which has also been taken into account in the expansion of filtering. Shopping at the Miloo Home e-store is really pleasant and intuitive.

Product gallery

At the request of the client, we have extended the product gallery capabilities. Now the client has full freedom to implement photos of a product without quantity limitations. In addition, each photo can be enlarged to full screen, so the buyer can clearly see all the details of the browsed product even before purchase.

Result

The result of a scrupulous collaboration with Miloo Home, is an attractive website that showcases all the best features of the brand. We implemented a lot of custom, modern components that support sales and make the store more self-intuitive. It is buyer-friendly at every stage of the purchase – from the first visit, through exploring the store, to order placement. The well-thought-out design of the online store, means a more convenient shopping experience.
